This article says that orangutans are in great danger from illegal logging practices. This is truly bad news, and it makes me wonder what can be done. Orangutans are beautiful animals, and already in danger due to other factors.
One thing that I think we can do is to better use our resources. Money talks, so use your buying power to buy from ethical companies. Also, since this is a problem because of timber demands, consider other building methods such as buying an existing home instead of building new, using bamboo or cork flooring, and using recycled items. I believe that it's possible to create a beautiful home for us while maintaining habitat for animals. It would be truly sad if the world lost Orangutans.

Hey i think it is good that you have put this website up and let people know that it is bad and to stop taking the orangutans homes and stuff!
I think we should have a day where it is only for the orangutans and every one has to pay a dollar and you should take one orangutan to the school and tell the kids and high the high school kids how the orangutans are in danger and how we could save them! i bet that if you do that then the orangutans would be able to have medication that they need and also they will have all the right equitment they need and would have a better life!
i love these animals and i would do anything for them to survive!
